Kitchen Remodeling in Ventura County & Los Angeles

Kitchen remodels with RnD Builders generally run $35,000 to $150,000. Where you land depends on kitchen size, cabinets, countertops, appliances, and whether walls, plumbing or electrical move. Larger or more complex kitchens can run higher, and your written estimate confirms the exact price before work starts.

A 20x20 kitchen is about 400 square feet, so it usually sits in the upper part of our $35,000 to $150,000 range, and premium cabinets, stone and appliances can push it higher. Smaller kitchens, such as a 10x10 or 12x12, usually sit lower in the range. Size is only one factor, so the best way to know is a written estimate based on your plans.

Cabinets are usually the biggest single line in a kitchen budget. After that, the largest costs are labor, countertops, appliances, and any plumbing or electrical work. Choosing where to invest and where to simplify is part of the design stage, and every selection shows up in your written estimate.

We guarantee your kitchen remodel will be completed within 28 days at the price agreed in your contract. Design, material selections and permits are handled before construction, and your project manager gives you a written schedule so you know what happens each week.

Yes, most families do. Some areas will be off limits for a short time, and there will be days when water, power or appliances are unavailable. Your project manager tells you ahead of time so you can set up a simple temporary kitchen and plan meals around the schedule.

Cosmetic updates like swapping countertops or cabinets often do not need one. Changes to plumbing, electrical, gas lines or walls usually do, and local building departments set the exact rules. RnD Builders drafts permit-ready plans and handles the permit process and inspections for you.

Yes. California requires a contractor license for projects of $1,000 or more in labor and materials. RnD Builders Inc is a licensed general contractor, and you can look up any California contractor license on the state licensing board website (CSLB) before you hire.

Usually yes. Moving appliances, adding an island or opening a wall are common requests. We build a 3D model so you can see the new layout before work begins. Moving a wall, sink or gas line can also add plumbing, electrical or structural work, and we explain how that affects the plan and the price first.

Often, yes, especially in older homes. New appliances, added lighting and a different layout can call for updated wiring, circuits or plumbing to meet current code. Your project manager reviews what you have and recommends only what the project needs. This is also the right time to upgrade to LED lighting and energy-efficient appliances.

It depends on their condition and your layout. If the boxes are solid and the layout works, refacing or painting can refresh the look. If you want a new layout, more storage or better quality, new cabinets are usually the better investment. Your design expert will walk you through both options with real numbers.

We strongly recommend it. Cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring and fixtures can have lead times, and a late selection can pause the job. Finalizing everything first keeps the schedule on track and makes sure the finished kitchen matches your design. Your designer helps you choose and keeps you inside your budget.

By being specific up front. Your written estimate lists the scope and every selection, and we review what could change the job, such as hidden plumbing or wiring behind the walls. If something changes, you approve it in writing before it is added. Our promise is a project completed in line with the budget agreed in your contract.

It often does, because buyers pay close attention to kitchens, but the return depends on your market, the quality of the work and how well the design fits the home. We do not promise a specific return. A well-planned kitchen that matches the style of your house is a safer investment than an over-built one.
