Kitchen RemodelWhite & Blue Cabinets with Oak Accents

This Thousand Oaks farmhouse kitchen started with a homeowner who loved color. The design allowed RnD Builders Inc to play with color variations and combine white and navy blue cabinets with oak accents.

Quartz countertops and wood-look tile floors tie the room together. A navy rolling island with a butcher block top and matte black hardware adds flexible prep space. A white farmhouse apron sink with a matte black faucet sits under a blue herringbone tile backsplash. In addition, a black stainless refrigerator completes the modern farmhouse look. The kitchen opens to a dining room with a chalkboard accent wall and a solid wood table, so the whole space feels warm and welcoming.

Our design-build process

Like every RnD Builders project, this kitchen remodel project followed our four-step design-build process. First, we learn your goals, style, budget and timeline. Next, our in-house design team creates custom plans and 3D renderings. Then one licensed team handles the plans, permits and construction, so the schedule stays on track. Finally, we walk through the finished space with you and review every detail.

RnD Builders Inc is a family-owned design-build contractor based in Woodland Hills and serving homeowners across Los Angeles and Ventura County. Our work has earned Best of Houzz awards from 2022 through 2026. Every home is different, so we start by listening. We then build a plan around your goals, your budget and the way your family lives, and we keep the schedule clear from day one.
