This Hawthorne ADU conversion turned a 380 sq. ft. garage into a 550 sq. ft. ADU at the back of the property. RnD Builders Inc added high-end finishes and a bright, open layout. As a result, an unused garage now works as a comfortable, independent home.

A 10-foot French door with side light panels fills the space with daylight, and a 5-foot pass-through window connects the kitchen to the outdoors. The kitchen has white shaker cabinets, a subway tile backsplash, black hardware and stainless appliances, set on light wood vinyl plank flooring. In addition, the bathroom has a walk-in shower with large-format marble-look tile and a hexagon mosaic floor. Recessed lighting keeps the white interior bright from room to room.
